Kansas - Drastic Measures (1983)
A lot of people **** on Kansas once the 80's came around, but this record was an excellent slice of New Wave / Power Pop / AOR crossover. John Elefante is the best vocalist the band has ever had and some songs are straight up brilliant ('Mainstream', 'Everybody's My Friend').
Overkill - The Grinding Wheel (2017)
A lengthier release than what I usually expect out of these stalwarts, but at times they come very close to classics like
Under The Influence. Overall, good modern thrash.
