I always preferred Jess! Especially after he starts getting his life together and becomes Rory's sort of moral conscience. Like he's always looking out for her and wants the best in her and that's admirable. I found his character to be hard to appreciate at first, sure, but he grows on you. Probably my favorite character in the whole show.
