Funny you bring up learning it. A friend of mines posted a pic from a class where she's learning to do it. It probably doesn't take as forever as you think especially with a class of students possibly being able to learn it.
I'm going to go through and touch on a few of your questions from the OP but something that I'd like to add to the discussion is the whole Daddy/little kitten community and people's thoughts on that whole dynamic.
Personally it just really creeps me out but it takes all kinds of individuals to make the world go round so whatever if they are happy with it.
