The vocalizations (that particular kind of shrill, warbling glossolalia) reminded me a bit of Meredith Monk, who I recommend depending upon your tolerance threshold for such things.
If you liked Mothertongue even a little, I insist that you add Tim Hecker's Virgins to your list. It's the musical equivalent of being mummified while in a confused ecstatic state in some darkened Byzantium temple. (Sorry, that's not a helpful description) It could
possibly work as study/background music, too, though it really is best experienced without any distractions.
