I'm sure there are a few more worth checking out, but Rotting Christ and
Septicflesh are far and away the best death metal to come out of Greece.
I came to Rotting Christ through
Genesis (I feel like there is almost a religious joke in that sentence), and thought it was cool but nothing exceptional. Then in college I met a guy who became a good friend who is both Greek and a metalhead, so obviously he repped Rotting Christ pretty hard.
Khronos became a favorite. I had no idea they were still around. A metal-archives check tells me I haven't heard anything from the two most recent albums.
