I definitely don't dislike repetition. Give me something I can't get enough of and you can repeat it however much you damn well please, but my interest in the songs from that album simply wasn't strong enough to make me continue to care past the third or fourth minute.
And I wasn't putting Jesu and Alcest in the same category. But they both use shoegaze in metal.
