Old Lady Drivers is a fairly fun album but I don't know that I'll be going back to it very often. As far as complaints, O.L.D. are a decent grindcore band but not much more, and combined with the overbearing guitar tone (badass on its own) that often drowns out the rest of the instruments, the intensity of the record is lacking.
On the plus side, the vocals are delightfully silly yet raw as ****; the slower metal parts are thoroughly badass, even though they are kept to a relative minimum; and the weird interludes are pointless in context, but as a whole they add variety to what would otherwise be a one-note affair, and take the piss out of a ridiculous genre that often takes itself far too seriously.
So put me down for a mild like, but if I were OccultHawk I would have chosen Macabre's Dahmer, a somewhat similar album that's way better.
