New England style Mandarin Steak Teriyaki.
2 lbs flank steak trimmed and cut into strips
Be sure to cut on the bias against the grain of the meat
Marinade
½ cup soy sauce
¼ cup olive oil
¼ cup water
2 tbsps. molasses
2 tsp mustard powder
1 tsp ginger powder
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion power
Mix together and marinate the steak strips for at least 8 hours
Set your broiler on high and cook 4-5 minutes on each side on the highest rack position.
Keep an eye on it so they don’t burn.
If you are going to use wooden skewers be sure to soak them in water first.
Stuffed Chicken Breasts
Large boneless/skinless chicken breasts.
Generously season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Sear each side for about 5 minutes in a slighty oiled smoking hot pan.
Let cool and then slice them almost all of the way in half edgewise.
Mix room temperature sour cream with salt, pepper, and chopped chives.
Stuff the breasts and then set them on top of the sliced potatoes and carrots in a crock pot.
Add about a half cup of chicken stock to the crock pot before adding the veggies.
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
