Revisiting two favorite obscure remixes of classic 90s tracks, both of which I'd found on various cassettes I used to retrieve from the gutters of my neighborhood and repair to discover new music. I prefer both of these mixes to the original album versions.
It took years for the internet to get to a point where I could identify the mixes, but here they are.
Live - White, Discussion (the Sam Sever remix)
Depeche Mode - Walking in My Shoes (Random Carpet Mix) - 6-minute edit sourced from a DM bootleg called Censors Wonderland Vol 3. The mix was produced by William Orbit, Flood (British producer Mark Ellis) and Mark 'Spike' Stent (producer, engineer) and differs significantly from all other "Random Carpet Mix" posts on YouTube which were instead sourced from disc 3 of the Remixes 81-04 official release. The 8:37 edits are inferior in my humble opinion, and I wish the 6-minute edit could see a proper official release.
(innerspaceboy doesn't understand the concept of "casual listening.")
