He said no because he legit had a place to be in the morning and didn't want to give up his seat which he paid for. I don't understand why airlines think it's okay to force somebody out of a seat that they paid for because the airline f*cked up. YOU F*CKED UP. Why the hell does anybody have to lose their flight?
Whoever gave the green light for the random selection of passengers to remove should lose their job. You don't stop at $800 and a hotel night stay before you go to security. What the f*ck did they think was going to happen? You keep upping the money until somebody caves, which they will after it hits 2k. People like money. Some airlines have private jets when they need employees elsewhere and a flight is booked. United is awful.
