One of my favourite Youtube channels, and his taste is exemplary. I used to use this guy like a manual. I may not be an aficionado of Holdsworth's catalogue, but what I know of it is great.

Good old Dereck. Used to comment on his albums (nearly all of which I have) - usually adding suggestions.
Nice guy who says in that video: "
Allan Holdsworth is my favorite guitar player.
It doesn't mean he's the best. He's my favorite."
In his recent video on him, he adds something along the lines that it's not the most technical guy who's necessarily the best,
"but the one who touches me the most." Bless you Dereck.
