Latest I saw was Angel's Egg. I went into it with lowered expectations due to reviews and wound up getting blown away. Stunningly beautiful visuals and atmosphere. At several points I was completely immersed in a meditative state within the film. I've been putting it on now when I go to sleep, which is something I never thought of doing with any film before. It reminds me of dreaming. I never got the feeling that the story was sparse or lacking, it just gave the interactions and exchanges more weight if anything. I'm still not completely sure how to interpret the whole thing and I don't think I'll ever come to any conclusions, but that's just another plus for me. Glad I put off watching it for so long so I could soak it in at a time when I'd appreciate this kind of film more, but now I'm sad. I need more like this.
