Synthesize the Soul: Astro-Atlantic Hypnotica from the Cape Verde Islands 1973 - 1988
Funky stuff with some amazing rhythm sections and a bit of synth. Part psychedelic, part afrobeat, part disco, with a sensibility that's not surprisingly somewhere between West African and Brazilian. This comp is solid from beginning to end and definitely worth checking out if you like any of the things I just mentioned.
