I swear one of my cats still treats me like I am a stranger after all these years. If we lock eyes and I call to him he will just walk away knowing full well that he wants me to pet him. He ends up doubling back a bit later squeaking like crazy for me to pet him instead of coming to me on command like all my other cats.
