All I said right there was I don't take the things our military vets did for granted, I simply do not feel their actions are deserving of discounts.

As already stated, that's so vague I can't even answer it. Possibly yes, in some cases.
It better be damn close to that. Can you give me an example of a war after 1945 that if Americans were not proactively aggressive towards any of our enemies they would have been on our shores or threatening our freedoms?
