Why would you be less sympathetic to the guy who was most dedicated to the ideology? Lenin and Guervera were evil, and resulted in many deaths, but neither quite had the same level of
puritanical belief in Communism compared to Stalin.
Mao should be taken out of the discussion because the guy killed about 100 million people. Doesn't really matter if he was as dedicated or not at that point.
