I remember enjoying this album a fair bit the first few times I listened to it, but I have to say that it was rather underwhelming this time around. The vocals are pleasant but they don't go anywhere interesting, and the production is chilled to the point of boring at most points.
Another complaint is how long it is. If you lack a diverse or amazing sound, don't have over an hour of material, please. It just makes the whole thing drag, to the point where you want to skip through the longer tracks once they have scrobbled
My favourite track is "Swamp Thing" because that thumping bass line is a complete change of pace. Really good sh
it. But honestly I struggled to get through it without actively disliking any of it. I think I saw Jans post on a thread recently that "blandness" is a big reason for not liking songs, and I believe a lot of this falls under that bracket for me.
