I agree that there are countless reasons for someone to cheat/be cheated on, and unless you're one of the people in the relationship or if you otherwise become involved (propositioned by the cheater, for example) it's really not your place to judge or make it your business. Like what are the motives for someone to get involved in a stranger's romantic life? Seems like the OP in this case was just looking for a pat on the back or a big "I did the right thing" sticker.
