I think the thing about audiobooks is that it often depends (for me, anyway) on who's reading it. If you don't like the person's voice then it's hard to really enjoy the book. I must admit though, Kindle has revolutionised the way I read now, and allowed me to read more frequently. If it's an attention thing with Dylstew though, I doubt audiobooks will help, as you still need to be able to concentrate and follow what's being said.

The ideal solution, which Karen and I hit upon, is for me to read out the book. My rates are ten Euro an hour and all the biscuits I can eat, plus travel expenses and, if required, accommodation, though I can if necessary sleep under your bed...
