This is all anecdotal, but I've heard a seemingly endless number of stories about one partner just saying f
uck it and leaving. Hell, my mom did it! And the system is broken af, awarding bad behavior with alimony and child support. My mom got child support even though she was the one who cheated on and then abandoned my dad--and she ended up with a higher-paying job!
