I think U2 get some more prizes than they should especially because of Bono's involvment in so many things ... It's politics after all.
The problem is that the awards are no longer representative as quality is concerned. Happens in other places too (Oscars) ...
All we can do is just mumble for some days and keep on listening to the music that's good for us
