Go to the doctor. I had this problem, too, and my mom (an RN) said chronic heartburn is no joke. So I went to the doctor. He advised me to change my diet. Didn't help. He did an endoscopy. No cancer, no clear reason for the heartburn. I told him my dad has it. Doc was like, oh it's hereditary. About 35% of heartburn is hereditary, and you just need medicine. So I take one pill after breakfast, and bam! No more heartburn all day and all night.
Go to the doctor.
