I got bullied a lot initially, till I started fighting back, and by fighting back I mean getting in on the joke, laughing at myself, not taking life and this place so seriously. It took a long time before I could make or respond to a joke about my mother, who's been dead over a quarter of a century now, but now it doesn't bother me. Personally though, I don't use that experience to bully newbies, not at all. I think once you get to know the peculiar humour of some of the members here (myself included) you can see that it is basically a friendly place. And if you say otherwise I'll kick your head in.
