Was woken up by my own laughter a couple times last night. I was dreaming of chasing an otter that had long dog legs. He had jumped out of a drawer and I wasn't sure whether I should be frightened or not. It had slippery skin, an oddly flat head and beady eyes. Not long after, I wandered to the door to look outside (same dream) and there was a big giant toad by it. I yelled in an old-timey cowboy voice, "Go away, toad boy! You're nothing but trouble!" and so it hopped away. I hadn't really wanted the toad to go away, though, so I wrote a folk song about the toad in an effort to lure him back. I was playing a banjo in the rain and singing "Never turn away a toadddd at your doooor" (I don't remember the rest of the goofy lyrics.)
The other dream lasted weeks in dream-time so I don't remember it. Forgot to write it down.
