100% agreed. The best artists I've been exposed to over the last 10 years has been 100% via word of mouth on forums, YouTube vids, and the internet in general. I don't even listen to the radio or any mainstream stuff anymore.

That being said, I've heard a literall ton of complete and utter ****e in that same period of time.

When I was in HS maybe 1-2% of the students were rocking on instruments in bands.

These days I'd wager that 20% of kids are composing and recording because it's so easy and cheap to do now.

But as the saying goes: Sometimes less is more.
