Explains a lot, lack of hygiene and fighting, there was a family of them on our road as kids and the kids were not very nice to us. They weren't there for long if I remember correctly, one week they had a house then before you knew it, they were gone.
You get them a lot in caravans in the public parks here, probably not the same extent as in Ireland, but you see them and you can understand why residents don't like it. My sister's old place had a lot of trouble with them.
