Stay safe and try to take it easy, Roxy. In these circumstances no-one's going to blame you if you don't turn up at work.
What I hope is that some of your fears turn out to be exaggerated. For instance, I've been listening to reports of 14-foot storm surges, which is devastating enough, but less than what you mentioned.
Bottom line: I really hope you and your friends can come through this without too much suffering or loss.
