I'm with you MicShaz. World's ****ed up but I'm not going to give in to the general despair and nihilism expressed by some, esp Batty. I'm happy to enjoy the world on my own terms, for what I can get out of it, and what little I can give to it. That may be, and probably is, a simple-minded philosophy, but it's how I live my life, and how I want to. I'd rather be a somewhat blind optimist that a wide-awake and constant pessimist.
