Nope.
Bonham had read a review of Ginger Baker's Air Force where the writer was raving about the fact that Baker was using 2 bass drums. Bonham rightfully griped that he could do more with a single bass drum than Baker could do with 2. The next day when it came time to record his track for the yet untitled song he growled something along the lines of, let's see Baker try this - and then played it with two drumsticks in each hand.
Michael Lee would do the same during the No Quarter tour.
