As for new styles: maybe there’ll be something that could be called “ragburn" -
a mixture of ragtime and footwork with beats exceeding 150 bpm or songs that
contain purposely unresolved melodies that drop into extended silences (“blueballing”) -
a response to a two year absence of net neutrality.

After 2020, I’m expecting more people to be tired of music that tells stories -
especially ones that feature lyrical content, so we might see more online
sound creations done for the sole purpose of having them become part of
a larger system of interactions whereby you have some kind of constantly
morphing situational event portal that combines more than sound
(and that could also be transported into physically live events if need be).
So, if you’re proud of your lyrics for your debut, I’d say that you’re already
looking backwards.
