TBH I'd honestly hope they were the same person, since the way they all disappeared at the same time would dictate a single will that would be pretty ****ing disturbing in its all consuming identity. Otherwise it's one person with a slavelike control over the other people, so it may as well be one person. The other people in such a relationship might as well not be actual people.
