This is a banger. Post-hardcore by the Mars Volta dudes for those people who don't know for whatever reason.

Eyeless in Gaza - Song of the Beautiful Wanton

Art pop, vaguely post-punk. Sounds like Antony of Antony and the Johnsons if you like that kind of wailing, owlish voice (I kinda don't). It was still solid until about the midpoint though and then kind of crumbled into blandness for me.

Laika - Good Looking Blues

Trip hop album that sounds like a less-engaging Hooverphonic. It was ok.

Deftones - White Pony

This album ****s.

Vaz - Demonstrations in Micronesia

Solid noise rock album. Do it. Yeahhhh.

The Black Heart Procession - Three

Another gooder. Reminds me of... Gareth Liddiard? Maybe? Kind of a restrained indie rock album. RYM says slowcore but I'm not sure I agree.
I shall listen to a few of these, At The Drive In though that's some serious stuff right there. What's the word crossed out for Deftones?
