The only two Mastodon albums I listened to (
Blood Mountain and
The Hunter I think) I really didn't like, but Mord, when he was here, went on about this so much that I'm prepared to accept that I might change my opinion with this, their seventh album. Well it's okay but we're four tracks in and I'm not seeing (or hearing) it. It's good, but I don't see how it (so far) deserves the praise Mord was heaping on it. Seven tracks in and I'm still not seeing it. It's okay, but nothing special. It is better than the other two Mastodon albums I listened to, but not by a whole lot really. Yeah, I just don't get it. Probably not for me, or maybe it might take a few more listens, but on first listen, here, just all right and nothing spectacular.
