As this is an emo education thread I have a question.

When someone suggests a band is emo that you don`t like , the most common reply seems to be 'they`re not real emo'

If thats the case does that mean that there`s no such thing as a bad 'real' emo band , or are you just in denial people think something you hate is classed as your favourite genre?

Oh and I`d like some examples of some bad 'real' emo bands so I know to avoid them if it`s not too much trouble.
