I suppose that the real disagreement here might be that an ever-present opportunity for oppression isn't the same as oppression and I guess that comes down to opinion.

That's not how burden of proof works.. What claim did I make? I rejected a position and gave my reason for uncertainty. I also already conceded given a demonstration i'd happily switch sides.
Other than that I have no problems agreeing on the rest of your comment. I'm a little iffy on the ever-present vs oppression, but i'll take it.
