In case it wasn't clear, I was just bemoaning all the cases of child abuse (in extremely insular weird religious environments, particularly here in the the US) happening under everyone's' noses-- home-schooled or not-- and linking things as I found them. Which would have been more evident if I had not deleted half of my post before submitting. (I'm all for homeschooling, personally.)
