we will miss him dearly. no matter how much he aged, his presence on the field never changed. the ideal holding mid who put his head down, played every 90 as if it was his last, and even on days we were battered he would play to the best of his ability. i’m not one to put down modern footballers because i believe it’s all part of the evolution of the sport, but i do feel he is amongst the last of a dying breed. tough as nails.
glad to hear he is sticking around as a first team coach. great role model and with kids like Fosu-Mensah and Tuanzabe hanging around they will benefit infinitely from his teaching.
