I too, was reluctant to switch to kindle. The whole book shopping experience was something I enjoyed. Even if the book store happened to be crowded, it wasn't bad.
I mean, these people were shopping for books. It's not a pushy crowd.
Then, 4-5 years ago, my kids got me a Kindle for Christmas. Still, reluctant. Books aren't cheap. That is, unless you browsed through the over 90,000 free book available at kindle.
I got probably 70-80 books the first day. I'm building the library I've always wanted. Way easier to do it from my big chair than going out.
The first time I put my finger on a word I didn't know, and the definition popped up, that was when I crossed over for good.
Some books, if you highlight a character, it'll tell who the character is (i.e., Joe's nephew, or whatever)
I now carry around over 800 books with me, at all times, 95% of which were free. My kindle may as well have a nipple on it, as dependent as I am on it.
Anyhow, to answer the original question, I'm reading the Darkslayer, a series of fantasy books.
