I'd heard a lot about Feist before I tried
Metals. I thought it was okay but I didn't see any justification for the praise it/she was getting. This then is my second try. I'm bored already. It's pretty slow and monotonous so far (fourth track) though “Any Party” has a bit more bite about it. It soon slides back though, and maybe I'll just never be a Feist fan, but this second foray into her music hasn't left me feeling that the initial impression I got of her with
Metals was wrong or unfair. I still don't see it. Obviously, others do, and if that's so then that's their privilege, but she just hasn't clicked for me, and probably never will. “Century's” pretty good all right, I'll give it that. Overall though I was pretty bored with this.
