People are tribal.
When they have no ability or desire to channel their inner loneliness
or unsettledness into creative, artistic activities within the humanities,
they resort to allowing their amygdala to overrun their lives because it
is so much "easier" (read: lazier) to do so. It's why we have the great
chasms in this country that we do.
