Another five-track EP, this time from American singer/songwriter Ingrid Michaelson. Starts off well, with a nice piano ballad and a yearning vocal*, very soulful. She seems to have a very impressive voice I must say; I could see her doing soul, folk or gospel, and at the moment I'd very much contest the genre tag here. Singer/songwriter (I know that's not a genre, but it's the most accurate description for this music I can come up with) or folk, maybe even a little on the soul side? Pop is way too generic though for this. Tinges of country in there too. Very very impressive.
