There's no conclusive evidence that apes are as introspective as man is. We don't exactly have a way to figure that out, which is part of the problem. Unless you were to dissect the extremely small, the highly microscopic, that'd be the only way you'd be able to really find something like that. It's an accepted notion but not a proven notion. That's very easy to forget since Darwin was right about evolution on everything else. But our sentience is what sets us aside and creates that conundrum, and our sentience is an aspect of our introspection. We don't know that an ape, knows that it is an ape, and what that actually means to the ape. We don't know that. With the development of discovering the Higgs Boson, and the Higgs Field expansion of the universe, it will be a long way off but eventually they will be edging closer and closer to those sorts of questions. When you have things under a massive camera like that, and dozens of people studying the dynamics of the collision, eventually when they have one strong enough or want to create one strong enough they will start searching for those sorts of questions. And, that's why that thing scares the Hell out of me.
