Another reason why Relapse is great, bizarre as an Eminem release, and the best horrorcore album ever, is "Same Song & Dance". He's made a career out of mocking celebrities, and this song is about Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears, except it's nothing about their pop culture issues. It's just using them as characters you'd know to use as victims in a Ted Bundy fantasy about murdering women for no other reason than because they should be strangled and they're on drugs. For any other artist this would be silly, but for Eminem you'd be expecting for the comedy single, but here he's connecting to both artists for their drug connections, which are significant due to his drug addiction at the time, so that now it's a metaphor for him doing his usual musical thing but now it's about drugs and killing himself. The song flips his usual modus operandi on its head while being relevant to his current ****.
