A true industrial fan only listens to old field recordings of farm and factory machinery. This is known.
(It typically didn't go over very well back in high school/college when I'd try to show "Industrial" fans bands like Throbbing Gristle, though. I remember one guy listened for a moment, said "Gay." and walked off.)
