Racist minister voluntarily leaves office after the far-left Red Party representative puts forward a proposition for a no-confidence vote. Yesterday was a good day for the Red Party (which gained a lot of new members as a result) and everyone in Norway who is sick of openly racist rhetoric being spread from the high seats of government. Listhaug has been lauded by racist and fascist groups since she took office as Minister of Immigration and Integration in 2015. For instance, the neo-nazi group Vigrid has stated that they would raise a statue of her "when they have gained power in Norway". They also sent flowers to her office this week after the Facebook scandal.
