Also, what's with the problem drinking bottled water I seem to see rising out of this questionnaire? I used to drink only fizzy drinks for decades, never water (hate the tasteless stuff) but then they stopped making my favourite drink and I couldn't really substitute it with anything. So for the sake of my health I decided I would try (flavoured) bottled water. Tried Orange and Peach and loved it; it's all I drink now.
Anyway, to answer my own questions:
1. Giving as much, or as little detail as you feel comfortable doing, are/were your parents basically good or bad people?
My mother was a saint. Well, no of course she was not, but I can genuinely not think of one single bad thing about her, and nobody had a bad word to say about her, living or dead. She was taken way too soon (1991). My dad, on the other hand, as most of you are probably aware, is a scumbag who made her life a hell, left her looking after four kids on her own, and doggedly refused to die until this year, when he finally ****ed off. The world is a better place without him.
2. What's your favourite cake? (I know, I know, but it's hard to keep coming up with fresh questions. Besides, we all love cake, right?)
Oddly, for those who know me, not chocolate. I like lemon or coffee cake, anything with cream and/or jam, Victoria sponge, and just about any Swiss roll. And bakewells. Mmmm.... bakewells.
3. If you saw someone, a stranger, male or female, being assaulted on the street, would you intervene? (Intervene includes calling the cops, shouting at the assailants, etc. You don't actually have to wade in.)
I'm a cowardly ****, and built like a stick insect, so it's unlikely I would intervene personally but I would try to attract the attention of others. If it was totally out of hand I'd call the cops. I should clarify this is more the kind of unprovoked assault type of thing NOT two or more meatheads trading blows. They can **** right off. Oh and if anyone was mistreating an animal, I'm in there.
4. At what age, and level, did you finish your education (assuming you have)?
17. Didn't finish secondary school (guess that would be your High School?) and went straight into my first and only job at that age.
5. Generally, do you eat things that are bad for you, and if so, does it bother you that you do?
All the time, and no, not really. I'm of the school of thought that says you could watch what you eat, be as healthy as possible and get hit by a bus, so why not enjoy yourself? At my age though, I have discovered there are some things I really can't eat, or eat regularly, any more. Cream cakes can finish me off.
6. Overall, again in a general sense, are you environmentally aware, ie do you do anything to help save the planet, or do you not give a toss?
Yeah I do care but I really don't do anything about it. I mean, I'll turn lights off and such, but my computer and TV/sky box are on all the time and I have no idea what size my carbon footprint is, which makes it very difficult to buy carbon shoes, I can tell you.
