He's in the easily skippable directors category for me. With Von Trier, I at least suspect I might be missing something one day, even though I usually hate his movies. With Del Toro, I don't feel like there's any chance that I'll find any future movie of his amazing.

Welp, I don't know what to tell you. I think
Pan's Labyrinth is one of the best movies of the 00s.
The Devil's Backbone is also amazing, as are
The Shape of Water and
Hellboy II.
Hellboy and
Blade II are highly entertaining, if a little bit more normal.
Mimic and
Pacific Rim are ok. I've never seen
Cronos or
Crimson Peak.
