I think what Chula is trying to say is that Rod Stewart kicked him in the stomach when he turned Disco - figuratively speaking kicked in him the gut. Though Chula could have been at a concert and stormed the stage when Rod started to sing Do You Think I'm Sexy (cause it was a betrayal of his Rock n Roll roots) and Rod had to defend himself so Rod literally dropped kicked Chula in the gut.
