Compulsory education by definition locks up every kid in the country.

School shouldn’t be compulsory. And if it is going to be compulsory there should be at least ten or so different tracks.
Like nature track- where they hang out in the woods and camp and fish
Trade track - learn how to fix ****
Play track- mess around playing video games or ice hockey and ping pong and darts and ****
Sports track - self explanatory
STEM track- self explanatory
Read and discussion track-
Traditional track (the only choice today)
Farming
Arts (kind of exists)
These schools that are funneled like prisons end up with kids who act like prisoners
