I'm interested in Goofle's and Micshazam's opinions on this in particular but everyone feel free to join in.
Here's a few thoughts:

I don't get the comparisons quoted by Ninetales. Doesn't sound remotely like Bon Iver or Joanna Newsom. I somewhat get the Thom Yorke vocal comparison for the track named "It did, I can't", but otherwise it's nonsense to me.

What this album really reminds me of is something between Jenny Hval and Lydia Ainsworth. Jenny Hval's music is not as lushly melodic and baroque as that of this album, but Hval's vocal inflections and voice does share some common ground with that of Lack The Low. Lydia Ainsworth has a somewhat similar approach on the musical side of things, with richly layered arrangements that overflow with melody, beautiful textures and have a strong sense of direction.

Also somewhat reminded me of the Ramona Lisa album, Arcadia, although much more complex.

Maybe Susanne Sundfør and Austra wouldn't be the worst comparisons either. Not great, but better than Joanna Newsom. I love Newsom, but it's a whole other kind of thing.

Generally, this album consists of some really varied and fully fleshed out songs (maybe "Do Your Worst" petered out a bit suddenly) and I can't really fault it on any level, aside from nitpicks. There's a lot of memorable arrangements and I think she's got a real knack for pairing different kinds of sounds. I think it was really good and I'd love to hear more from her in the future.
